GIDEON AYERS, was born in Wayne County April 29, 1834 and died September 9th 1892. At the age of three years he came to reside in Fulton County and remained here until 1851 when he went to California and remained in the west fourteen years. Four years and eight months of this time he served in the War of the Rebellion. In 1866 he returned and has made Fulton County his home ever since.
